Pricing and Product Availability

Availability of all stock offered in Protea Bookstore is limited. All reasonable efforts shall be taken to ensure that the correct price and stock (or the obtain ability of an item) is displayed to the customer at all times or otherwise discontinued. If an item, previously offered, is purchased and the stock thereof was displayed incorrectly at the time of purchase, Protea Bookstore will only be held liable for the refund of the amount paid by you for the item. Amounts payable by the Customer

Item Price

The price for each item displayed.

Delivery

The price of delivery varies according to the purchase made. Weight, item type, delivery location and delivery option influence the cost of delivery.

Value Added Tax

A rate of 14% is applied to all sold products.

Import Duties

Protea Bookstore is not responsible for any additional levies charged to customers in foreign countries. Protea Bookstore cannot calculate or estimate the amount of the levies that are charged to the customer. The customer is responsible for determining the costs, if any, and the payment thereof.

Payment Methods

Credit Cards

At the time of placing the order, the transaction details are presented to the bank and an authorization is obtained for the amount of the order. If such authorisation is not obtained, the order will be cancelled. If authorisation is obtained, payment is only collected when the order has been packaged and the goods shipped.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) & Bank Deposits

 If you select the 'pay via bank deposit' button, instructions will be given on how to deposit monies into Protea Bookstore’s bank account and it would be subject to the following rules:

• the exact amount must be paid;

• no transfers may be made from ATM's;
• cheque deposits are subject to a clearing period.;
• no bank deposits are accepted from outside the borders of South Africa; and
• your order will be cancelled if you choose to pay by bank deposit or electronic funds transfer and the amount due is not paid within 5 business days.
• payments made from banks other than ABSA are subject to a 24-48 hours clearing period before the item is released to a customer.

Refunds Policy

Protea Bookstore has a no refund policy in place and will not replace or refund an item brought back, except under the below mentioned circumstances:

·         Incorrectly Bound

·         Incorrect Product by Protea Bookstore

Order Cancellation

Orders can only be cancelled within 24 hours after the order was place and the full amount paid by the customer will be refunded.  

Late Delivery

Protea Bookstore is not held responsible for late deliveries, but will assure their best efforts to make sure the book arrives within time. Protea Bookstore offers the ability for a customer to track their parcel by supplying a tracking number upon request from the customer. The delivery time shown on Protea Bookstore website are estimated times as according to their corresponding delivery services used.
