Details

Dr Adrian L.V. Davis has been a specialist in the taxonomy, community ecology, and biogeography of dung beetles for some 35 years. His affiliations include the Australian CSIRO Dung Beetle Research Unit, the University of Cape Town, and the Scarab Research Unit at the University of Pretoria. He is the sole or joint author of 38 papers on dung beetles. Dr Andrey V. Frolov is a staff researcher at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Saint-Petersburg. His current research interests are mainly focused on the systematics, morphology, and biogeography of several groups of scarab beetles including African dung beetles. In 2001-2004 he joined the Scarab Research Unit at the University of Pretoria as a post-doctoral fellow. He has authored over 30 papers. Dr Clarke Scholtz is Professor of Entomology in the Department of Zoology and Entomology at the University of Pretoria. His research interests have mainly focused on the systematics, biology and conservation of dung beetles and their relatives. He manages a group of about 10 dung beetle researchers, including post-graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and research fellows.
