ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Estrela Figueiredo and Gideon F. Smith are both Honorary Professors in the Department of Botany at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth and research associates at the University of Coimbra in Portugal. Estrela has a keen interest in the African flora, the succulant flora of the world and sustainable gardening and Gideon is one of the most productive authors on Old and New World succulents.
